But what I want you to do is just read it, understand it, read it again, understand it, and then just start to do the worksheets, work through them.

Write it down.
What budget do I need to put in place?
In there it's got, you can write down all the things you spend your money on, add them all up, transfer them to an income and expenditure statement.
It's got all the categories there.
And you can see how much is actually left at the end of the month.
Is there anything left?
You might be in deficit.
What are you going to be able to chop to get on the right track?
There's a sheet in there called a statement of position statement.
which is what you own and what you owe.
That's a bit of an eye-opener.
And it's all about discovery.
It's about going, shit, this is where I didn't realise.
And a lot of people don't.
And then just working through that, then we've got the suggestions of how to prioritise what debt you're going to pay off first, whether we use the avalanche or the snowball model.
Avalanche is picking the one with the highest interest rate and whacking all your extra income or surplus income off that to get rid of it and then moving to the next one.
