Like, it's just the simplest image landed hard.
And I think they're like, that's their guy is not more complicated than that from what we were seeing.
But after the break,
I want to talk about the spectacle itself, which was not without its controversy.
But first, an ad from the UFC Protein Bar, which tasted like absolute cardboard.
Thank you for giving that to me for free.
i thought the card itself was interesting the matches were really uneven and uh kind of designed for knockouts uh and there had to be a lot of non-americans on the card which i thought was interesting but i think it was all to play it extremely safe of getting people who are either going to be like real mega or just play nice and take their paycheck and um
I think it speaks volumes if the UFC made a huge deal about getting there to move mountains to do this event.
And like, honestly, they put a 40 year old, they put multiple fighters on who are past their prime.
I think that speaks to, they couldn't even fully commit to the kayfabe of this being like super important and something of relevance.
I want to hit on the two pieces of controversy from the whole spectacle.
First up, Josh Hockett, the most mega-looking and acting dude on the card, a guy who faked throwing up at the weigh-in, so he could say...
Because he said he was drinking and said, so what?
Maybe I was drinking last night.
Who wouldn't be?
I have a giant black man that wants to knock me out.
And in his victory speech, he said that there's only one person more incredible than the Incredible Hulk, and that's my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, followed by saying this.
And UFC seemed not thrilled about it.
So according to the Daily Beast, they tried to scrub it and they took that part out of the acceptance speech.
