There had not been a hit in the inning.

No one had contacted the baseball yet, had put a ball in play.

threw eight batters and three runs were on the board.

It was the single weirdest.

I've never seen anything like that in the baseball game.

Well, and part of the problem, like, baseball has done a really good job being super progressive over the last few years and, you know, adjusting to the times and improving the game.

But in that spot, you've got a pitcher who can't throw strikes.

Like, all right, but...

He's still got two more batters to go.

You can't take him out yet.

That's kind of where it hurts you, right?

What was weird about that was the starting pitcher gave up five runs in the first, and then halfway through the second inning, roughly, they're like, well, we can't leave him out there anymore.

Let's go get him.
