So the police said that the Uber driver said that Mum got out and wanted to get out at an orphanage.
Like it's a primary school slash orphanage, which didn't make sense.
But I thought, all right, well, that's our starting point.
I managed to find six CCTV cameras, which one of them was inside the school and then the rest were surrounding.
So it could have identified if mum actually did get out of the taxi, which we don't believe she did.
It could have identified, you know, the vehicle, was there more people in the vehicle with her, et cetera, et cetera.
However, the police refused to check the CCTV.
And the last one, which was a private camera owned by a house that had the longest overwrite, which was six weeks.
And yeah, police refused to check it and we lost it all.
During the searching process, I was told by the officer in charge of the criminal department of the Penang district that mum has the right to disappear and the right not to be found.
I also got told that missing persons is a family issue, not a police matter.
Like why didn't they just do a ground search?
Why didn't they β like the photos that you see of mum leaving the hotel, that was me getting that.
Like why didn't the police get that and timestamp it?
Why didn't they get β at the dentist there was 11 CCTV cameras
Why didn't they get that to check, is that the car that she got in?
Like, what's the serial number or the registration number?
All of these things that I thought, you know, watching the TV shows, reading these documentaries, like the true crime stories and podcasts, like...
To me, this was just basic.
Yeah.
