Sony blamed, quote, a backdrop of challenging economic environment, including high inflation and fluctuating exchange rates, end quote, in a statement attributed to Isabel Tomica, vice president of global marketing at SIE. In Europe, the price of the PlayStation 5 edition is now €499.99. That's a €50 increase.
