You'll be able to play her for a bit during a trial weekend in Season 15. Blizzard is also teasing a new character for Season 18 named Aqua, appropriately named for his water-based abilities. As for the new perk system, it promises to enhance all of the game's heroes with two unique upgrades per match.
Your first upgrade is a minor one that lets you choose one of two slight boosts, perhaps a slightly stronger passive or a reduced cooldown for a core ability. The second upgrade offers a more substantial playstyle shift designed to help turn the tides of battle. Torbjorn can choose between a stronger level 3 turret or the ability to mount it on a wall, for example. So a lot there.

The Jess thing of saying that it finally feels like Overwatch 2, reading through all this, kind of feels apt. I'm shocked by how much they're adding with all these updates.

didn't do enough to shake things up. That game, for me, when we got Overwatch 2, it felt like too much of the same. I know they brought the player count down to 5v5 instead of 6v6. I needed some more than that, right? They added the new modes, they added some new maps, but I think...

For me as a player, and I think for a lot of players, people were looking for something more substantial, and over time, they canceled some of the content that they had promised for Overwatch 2, some of the single-player stuff that we were looking forward to. So I think you need things like this to shake it up. I'm with you as far as, is this new mode going to hit? That sounds like a big swing.

It reminds me of when Apex added Apex Arenas as a mode, and I liked Arenas a lot, but they added it, and maybe a year or two later, they took it out, which saddened me, but... I think you need swings like that. You gotta figure out if you can get something like this to stick. Because then if it does, you just opened up a whole new revenue model, possibly.

Oh man, let me tell you. I was in the group chat. Hold on. I'm not gonna read any of their texts because I don't have their permission. But I was in the group chat and the vibe was... The vibe was mainly like, damn, why are you doing this now? You should have done this a while ago. It seems like they're on the idea of pro these changes, but it does feel a little too late.

I think it's going to be hard to pull them off of Marvel Rivals right now. That's rough, man. But I think... I mean, I think there's going to be a Monday where right after this comes out, we definitely got to try out the new mode. We definitely got to see what it's about. And if it's good, hey, you'll have us. I think it might come down to timing.

I think you got to give people a little bit more time with Marvel Rivals because it's still on fire right now. And as soon as that fire feels like it's starting to fade a little bit, boom, launch this. And maybe you might get some conversion back.
