No, it's not.
There's been a few times this season in which, whether it is coming from Slot himself or even just the journalists have said that, Slot said behind the scenes that things will improve, and then we've had catastrophe results, to put it politely, against City in the FA Cup and then against PSG over two legs.
You hear these things and you see Slot in these press conferences and he's quite, you know, he's not mellow, he's not like looking down because you saw in some of the press conferences with JΓΌrgen after a few bad results, like he could feel it, like, you know, he was there, he was feeling down and you felt it watching it, but with Slot it's almost as if like maybe it's a front that he's putting on or maybe it is just the case that he's just trying to look at it positively, just...
for the sake of his own peace of mind or whether it's because he genuinely does believe in what he says.
As a Liverpool fan and as I've watched the season progress, it almost kind of feels like, to me, it's like he doesn't truly grasp the situation in which Liverpool have kind of seen themselves in throughout the season.
And when you're seeing him going into press conferences and he's
saying stuff like, give me more time on the training pitch and the results would improve.
And then we've got a week in between games and you're not really seeing any improvements in not just the results, but the actual performances in games.
And you kind of think to yourself, what are they actually doing in training?
What are they actually doing in the time, the extra time now, which they have got on the training pitch?
What is the process around when they get in?
what they do on the pitch, what they do in the gym, and then what they do when they get to downfield or when they play elsewhere on the weekend.
To be honest, it doesn't really fill me with hope, especially going into the next season.
And obviously when you hear about the...
the doubts for some of the players for tomorrow, you're looking at it a bit more like, well, we've had times this season where we have had a fuller squad and it's been the exact same as now when we've got, I guess you could say, maybe a depleted squad.
So you're going into that game against feeling the kind of things to yourself like, well, where do we go from here?
That's the kind of vibe that I get when I watch the slot press conferences, when I see the quotes online.
It doesn't really fill you with too much positive feeling or just hope in general.
Yeah, it speaks for itself, the kind of career that Robertson has had at Liverpool during his time.
He's grown to be one of the big figureheads in the dressing room.
