Very excited for it.
Did a lot of reporting yesterday on the longest layoff between two series that we've seen in the NHL in 107 years.
And...
Yeah, it should be an interesting one.
I mean, obviously, we'll talk about the other series becoming really interesting in a moment, but this Habs team, there's a path to victory here.
I don't know if they'll be able to find it.
They might need a Sherpa, but there is a path to victory here for the Canadiens.
I somehow managed to cover the conference finals without going to Montreal.
I'm actually a little bit off the road this weekend, and then the schedules didn't sync up.
I'm going to Denver next week, then I'm back here in Raleigh.
Montreal is one of my single favorite cities in North America.
I don't know if I've ever discussed this on the show, but my grandfather lived in Montreal when I was a kid, so we used to go up there all the time to visit him.
And oh, yeah, he was a huge Expos fan.
You know, he wasn't really into hockey, but he was a huge Expos fan.
And so as a kid, I really learned to, you know, love this city and and I was fascinated by the bilingual culture of it.
And then, you know, it's not โ the secret to living in New York, Merrick, is knowing the trips you can take that aren't going to be too taxing.
