And I was like, clearly it didn't sustain.

But what were the post Oscar like bump nomination bump role she got?

And you're like, no, it kind of all the best stuff is before this.

And I feel like every five or six years, someone will clearly be like, I'm going to bring Rosie Perez back.

And she's always good.

Always good.

And it's never totally hit.

There's all these fucking great heavy hitters remembered so confidently that Bridges did get nominated for this.

And I was like, in what fucking universe does he not get nominated?

And then you're like, oh, the five nominees are Liam Neeson for Schindler's List, Anthony Hopkins Remains of the Day.

Daniel Day-Lewis in The Name of the Father.

Incredible performance.

I know the sort of surprise nominee in the batch was Lawrence Fishburne for What's Love Got to Do With It, who hadn't gotten the precursors but deservedly got the Oscar nom.

Right.

And then fucking Tom Hanks for Philadelphia.

Jesus.

And you're like, yeah, you're right.
