I need to get my financial affairs in order.
So I buggered off, and then I came back about a month later once everything was sorted.
I told the police where I was.
The police came two days later, arrested me.
When they finally took me to court, the judge present stated that the judge that sentenced me, that sentenced me in my absence, he wanted to see me.
So they gave me bail to HMP Nottingham.
I stayed, sat there for another week or so, twiddling my thumbs, wondering what's going to happen.
Took me back to court.
There was quite a lot of bail conditions in the first place as well.
I had to stay at my mum's house.
I had to give my passport in.
I had to give some financial assurity that wasn't going to go on the run.
And so when they dragged me back to court, it was a judging question.
And he says, you know, I'll give you seven and a half years.
I'm giving you another two and a half years.
because you went on the run.
He goes, I'm going to bring you back to talk about this shortly.
He goes, I believe that you've been through a lot.
No matter what anybody tells you, being on the run is not a cool, sexy thing to do.
It's the biggest head foot you'll ever go through in your mind.
