In terms of the nature nurture, I was like, somehow it was in my nature to maybe be wanting to, you know, like comedy was in my nature.
And so it wasn't like dad nurtured it, but he was like good resistance training for it.
But did you get a rise out of him?
I mean, like you got him to react, to laugh.
Got him to react.
And it's that funny thing.
Like, I think it's not unusual for comedians or people in the comedy world.
If you boil it down, we're all trying to get attention, really.
It is a bit of an attention economy.
Now it is.
It is.
But I think comedy has always had that aspect.
I think if people got really honest, most anyone there is like, oh, yeah, there's someone in their life they're trying to get the attention of.
And it was probably my dad.
I mean, probably there's still a little part of me that's that little boy trying to get his dad's attention.
I'm not funny.
You're funny.
Yeah, but I think exactly the same thing, though, because you're being led by what interests you.
And I think when you do it with the reverse, that's when trouble starts.
