Make a bet.
I'll bet you five bucks.
Okay, deal.
But Hank, your point was correct that NIL has some very big downsides.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
This college basketball season has been incredible, but there have been some parts of NIL that are head scratchers and really annoying.
You don't think that these guys have had agents before?
But they're not real agents.
Not real agents, but they had guys that were telling them what they were going to do.
It's not just him independently being like, I shouldn't play.
Here's why I think that sucks right now is because the way that NIL is set up, you're relying on a bunch of donations from local business guys, famous boosters, alumni that are well off of the school that are going to try to pay to get you the best roster as possible.
The second they start paying millions of dollars, we're talking like millions of dollars for a quarterback, millions of dollars for a star basketball player, and those guys just take the money and don't pay, don't play,
then that money is going to dry up for nil so like that does affect everybody and it sucks um but it's not like guys weren't they didn't have agents that they would talk to beforehand and they would sometimes like we had guys sitting at bowl games because of college because of the draft stock covid was yeah there were guys sitting out like a parson sat out the full year yeah derrick stingley didn't he sit out he said he might have yeah i know parsons did yeah
Either way, back to the NBA, I just love that going into the All-Star weekend, it was just all negative talk.
I feel like everyone was just tanking.
All-Star weekend sucks.
You just got to get through February.
Get to the playoffs.
We had the what if it was a black versus white game debate.
Yeah, Nick Wright threw that out there.
