I think it was probably my first foray into like urban fantasy.
Actually, I tell a lie.
So as a teenager, I read the Mortal Instruments series, which is kind of probably another formative.
Yes, formative experience.
But I read this one, I think it was kind of that bridge back into fantasy for me because it was set in our world but it's also very witchy and it has kind of those elements that I am now super drawn to in any of my reading really.
So character driven and it being really focused on like found family and a little bit of like witchy stuff going on as well, which I was like.
They're so good.
