And it wasn't up until I went over to London and became a nanny that I feel like my relationship with money changed.
It wasn't until I went to university and sat down and went, I'm going to split my money off into multiple accounts.
My world changed completely.
And I went from being, and my friends say this, one of my good friends, she goes, Hannah, you are so stingy.
And now I'm not because I have so much more freedom because I know that I've budgeted for it.
Right up until I went over to London, I was like, eternal vision, focus on money.
I want to be the biggest, the best.
I want to have the most money in New Zealand.
And it wasn't until I went over to London and became a nanny for...
some incredibly wealthy families.
One in particular was a billionaire family and they just had so much money that it honestly taught me so much about what money can potentially do to you in a negative light.
They got whatever they wanted.
And I remember even taking them to, you know, in Hyde Park, they've got the winter Christmas, the winter one.
And I would have like my coins going, oh, what's the most cost effective way to get?
And the boy puts his hand on my shoulder and goes, Hannah, like we can afford it.
Like we can...
And for me, this is me at the age of 19 going like, okay, I don't want to spend too much money.
And the boy's like, Hannah, we've got all the money we want.
Totally, totally.
But I think in reality for a lot of people, it is the counting, the pennies and the dollars.
