I think teams are kind of getting they're not as afraid of Cam Johnson coming off of that double screen, in part because they know how hesitant he is on it.
The other note I have here, Jokic takes a lot of those threes, and I know we hate him, and I hate him when I'm watching him live.
There are teams that are going to guard him the way that they guarded him last night, and that was that in the pick and roll, they would use their big to just drop down, and they would use their guard to not go over to Jokic.
It wouldn't be a switch.
It wouldn't be like a veer switch where you try to back up Jokic and then recover at the last second.
They would just ignore Jokic.
And both go deep so that the paint is crowded.
There's nowhere to roll.
And it's vulnerable to Jokic popping.
I just think that's going to be the playoff game plan for some teams.
If you beat it, that's not going to be the game plan every night.
But games like last night where he takes a bunch of threes, I kind of get it when I rewatch it where I'm like, he just has to make them early.
And then the game's broken open.
I just feel like a playoff series is going to come down.
He has the right mentality of taking them as much as it frustrates us, but I honestly think there's going to be early playoff games that come down to that where teams are going to say Christian Brown's going to be open, Jokic's going to be open for three, and we're going to live with it.
The numbers say you shouldn't, he shoots over 40%, but we also know that he does have nights where he starts like one of eight.
The problem is it could lose the Nuggets a game.
It might.
It kind of means that a game in the playoffs will come down to just that one variable.
See, I kind of disagree with it because when I watch how much they pack the paint and just take away any role option, there isn't an option there.
