I was super proud of it because to get through sort of Chelsea's academy and to play for the first team is no easy feat.
It's super hard and it's ruthless.
I probably learned so much there at one point when I was training with the first team and played a few games.
I was training and playing with some of the best players in the world.
So you learn a lot about yourself and
And there's been lots of different managers.
You learn different styles and everything like that.
Yeah, I'd say there probably was a little buzz around that.
You'd seen sort of the start of that pre-season, lads that had been on loan, like the Rhys Jameses, the Mason Mounts, the Tammys, that had then been put into the first team pre-season and they were doing really well and they started the season and they were playing and they were scoring goals and they were doing well.
So I'd say there probably was a little buzz around it thinking, OK, with sort of this manager and the way things have gone, if you do well, there's definitely chances there.
We were losing 2-1 and it was about 60 and then we won 3-2, didn't we?
We were at the hotel or having pre-match or something and one of the lads had seen it on their phone or whatever and I think the message is before the game was to not focus on that.
We've got a game ahead of us and we can deal with that afterwards.
Obviously I wasn't super tight within the group with all the lads so I'm not sure what they were saying but you could definitely feel an eerie atmosphere around it.
His attention to detail was unbelievable.
In each training session, if you didn't pass to the right foot, he'd make a point of it.
In each presentation before a game, he'd say, this is how we're going to play, this is why we're going to play, this is what's going to win us games.
It was really good to work with a coach of that calibre.
I think he's probably spot on.
I think there's times you look back and at the time you might have not been playing or whatever and you were fuming, whatever, and then you look back on it now and you think, oh, it's probably the right decision for me.
