The Dolphins actually fired head coach Mike McDaniel and Marco Rubio responded to all of the internet craziness.

So this is what he put on X. I do not normally respond to online rumors, but feel the need to do so at this moment.

I will not be a candidate for the currently vacant HC and GM positions with the Miami Dolphins.

While you never know what the future might bring right now, my focus must remain on global events and also the precious archives of the United States of America.

He said he won't be a candidate currently for those currently vacant positions.

He also said, you know, right now he has to focus on these other things, but he never said never.

He's a smart guy.

I think he should absolutely try it.

I mean, he's got a ton of free time.

Maybe if he knocks off one or two of the jobs on his list right now, he'll have time to be the general manager or the head coach of a football team.

He could have, he's already proven to us that he can have at least four jobs at once.

So now, you know, he set the standard.

Secretary Rubio, I wouldn't count this out.
