Oh, yeah.

I mean, it's a long haul to get to Yankee Stadium, especially from where I was living.

I was living all the way downtown.

Oh, my God, I'd be on that train forever.

Yes, and then going all the way to Jersey, and then, like, all I heard about was, you know, the parking is a nightmare.

I mean, anyway.

We won't get into that.

But speaking of the subway, you know, Mamdani has been saying that transportation should be cheaper and he's talking about like free buses and there's already free or, you know, sort of free buses, like buses to the airport, the Q70 SBS bus that goes to LaGuardia, the M60 SBS bus also goes to JFK.

Those are free apparently.

And I don't remember them being free.

when I was living in New York City because I had taken those buses and I'm pretty sure I paid for them.

So I don't know if that's a new thing, but whatever.

And then apparently there is another downtown loop bus that kind of goes from Battery Park area to the Statue of Liberty to the World Trade Center, that kind of touristy loop.

And so anyway, we find out that

You know, Mamdani is not in charge of subway fares or transportation.

He's not in charge of the MTA.

That is a statewide thing.

So we could pull up this tweet here.

And, you know, he said today, New York City subway and bus fares rose from two.

and 90 cents to $3, I spent the evening riding the only free bus in the city, the Q70, to hear what a fare-free ride has meant for New Yorkers.
