Well, our garden has been a real project of collaboration really.
When the Palm House first approached and asked us about it, I was like, wow, what an incredible idea to create something that will raise awareness for the hospice, but equally
involve everybody so we all feel proud of it.
So our theme of our garden is Forget Me Not because you know, why would it not be?
Woodlands Hospice is such a special, special part of our community and it's about remembering people's loved ones who have lost with us and equally Woodlands Hospice is 30 years this year.
Yeah, which ties in nicely with the anniversary of the Palm House.
So what we've been doing is we've been holding classes with Gemma Longworth who's an incredible artist and she's been coming in and we've been making lots of things with our bereaved group, with our families, with our staff, with our volunteers and everybody's been writing messages of hope on pebbles and we've created colourful toadstools.
Yeah, what we thought was really important and quite poignant is that with the history of the hospice, when people come, I wanted them to actually see where Woodlands started and where we are now because the progress is incredible.
We've still got lots to go, but it's incredible to see where we started 30 years ago to where we are today.
The sun's coming out.
And the sun always shines down on us, honestly.
Honestly, every time we've come here, I've not looked this glam, believe me, honestly.
My fingers are genuinely, generally pink, not green.
So when I got proposed with this project, I was like, what am I going to do?
Anyway, yeah, so we've been here in the rain, in the mud.
And so today we thought, no, we're going to get glam.
