of immigrants and people of color in the rhetoric that this regime has espoused.
He would be inspired by the activism that is happening today.
But I do think that for somebody who saw so much progress in such a short time, he would be impatient for us.
He would say, as he did say in 1967, the beloved community is a realistic vision of an achievable society.
one in which problems and conflicts exist but are resolved peacefully and without bitterness.
I think he would say, why haven't we gotten there?
Why are so many people still willing to believe the zero-sum lie?
And I think he would have a lot to say to the current White House.
