It's not like a military coup. But it is an autocracy in the sense that we have someone in office who wants to Rule by signature, right? I mean, he's got a majority in Congress.

And yet, he still wants the feeling of being able to just sign a pen and change American law firms and change American universities and change American media. and cut hundreds of billions of dollars, fire tens of thousands of public servants, flouting the separation of powers.
