They do not raise any credible reason for considering that David Bowflower was making a genuine admission.

The CCRC had also rejected the suggestion by Jeremy's lawyers that police had more than one silencer in their possession during the case and were running tests on all of them and potentially conflating the results.

They said there was no evidence for that, even though David had told me that the police had taken away his own silencer, identical to the one he'd found at the farm, as well as his father's.

Prosecutors have previously denied that the cops examined more than one silencer.

Now, the CCRC said something slightly different, that police had taken the Bowflowers' silencers, but only much later, once the trial was already underway, by which time there could have been no question of contamination of evidence, because the investigation was complete.

That was very definitely not what David had told me.

So when did they come and take your silencers away and do all of that?
