In January of that year, Savile convinced Decca Records to let him deliver a gold record to Elvis in Los Angeles, where Elvis was filming his new movie, Wild in the Country.
Once Savile arrived here in Los Angeles, he talked his way into meeting Elvis, and he got a photo of himself with the world's most famous singer.
