So I decided to take the hour and a half drive up to Sarasota because I was fascinated by the Orioles roster, their camp, their clubhouse.
All of it I thought was a good place to go to swing by, and sure enough, it was.
It was.
They got a really, really interesting group, and I've obviously talked to a lot of guys in there, a lot of guys who maybe have not been to the Orioles Clubhouse before this year.
but have landed there and made that a really, really fascinating clubhouse, a place that I think a lot of people are thinking it's going to be a good dynamic.
All right, well, at the top of the list is Chris Bassett.
Chris Bassett, who's been on the podcast before, one of the most introspective players you're going to find in Major League Baseball and one guy that we always love talking to.
And so I get a chance to talk to him.
And I sat in on a little bit of a scrum talking about the union chaos, MLBPA chaos.
And so what I want to do is first play that scrum, first play what he said, because I don't think you're going to find another player who is more insightful in terms of this, what's going on.
Obviously, he has a big responsibility and role there.
and the MLBPA.
So it's worth listening to.
And then we're going to get to my one-on-one with him about what he went through with the Blue Jays last year.
But first, okay, here's the scrum talking about all the chaos because that's what's top of mind for a lot of people.
Here's Chris Bass.
Yeah, just really, really good stuff.
I mean, really good stuff.
I mean, you're going to probably hear a lot from Chris Bassett, obviously, when all this stuff is percolated, the lockout, union, all the chaos.
There's nobody who's more articulate when it comes to this stuff.
