You know, hopefully you can give somebody one or two little things they can look at during a game or, you know, in preparation for the season that they can look at and enjoy the game just a little bit more.
And I think that that's what I owe to the game.
You know, I remember, you know, with Mike Webster,
who passed away, obviously, in the movie Concussion.
Not completely all accurate, but a lot of it was accurate.
But one of the things I always felt bad, I was like, you know, he got me through some really, really rough times.
My father passed away, I had injuries, and I was down and out after some bad games, and kind of worked me through that, and I always felt bad that I wasn't able to pay him back, and nobody knew that he was going through the things he was going through.
So it really, really took it hard that I wasn't able to at least reach out and maybe getting some help and maybe help him out a little bit.
So I said, you know, if I get a chance, I'm going to try and help out any kid.
I'm going to help out anybody who give me an opportunity to use football as a vehicle to have success in their life.
I can't remember how many penalties we had, but it was a bunch.
You could work through it if you have guys like that.
Yeah, but in this day and age, I can't really think of any team that could overcome a lot of penalties.
I mean, even in the last, what, 10 years.
defenses have gotten so much more athletic, so much faster, so much stronger.
I think defenses have gotten much, much better with the offenses trying to implement and run on the field that you really can't put yourself in bad positions very often in a game and expect to convert or expect to win.
