Man, I can't recall what year this was. I want to say 06. We had one of the wildest nights I remember still to date, even in comparison to bigger headliners. It was when we had Eric Morello. Probably second run we had with him. First time he came to TAO was not all there was supposed to be there, but second time around, it was the craziest level of energy I've seen in a nightclub.
For the longest, longest, longest time. Like this guy kept playing till 9 a.m. Very space, club space style. At a place that should have shut down at 4 a.m. And people were still dancing. Going crazy. The place was packed. managers, directors, hotel executives were coming up, and everyone was just like... They were probably pissed.

No, at first they were, and they saw the energy, and they were like... They were like, we're going to let it ride. Fuck it. I love that. It was really, really different. Back then, the only thing similar after hours you had was Dre's. And this wasn't attempting to be an after hours. It just so happened that the energy never died.

It's the only time I've seen something like that that was not a festival or something of that capacity.

Well, that's all like front of the house, like little stuff. Then eventually in 2011, I got my first management set in now over at Chateau and Gallery.

It was nuts. It was really, really a lot of fun. It was a very different vibe and a very different format. Bro, you were probably living it up where you were like...
