Now, I know Patrick Johnson and Post Media put out a big piece kind of extolling the virtues of Lawrence Gilman and saying he's the guy they should hire.

I also saw Rick Dollywall tweet

during the course of our show that as of right now, the Canucks have not requested permission from Columbus to speak to Lawrence Gilman.

I have no idea if that's a realistic possibility, if ownership would consider dipping back into someone from the Gillis era to consider leading the franchise.

I mean, everything you hear about Gilman, you would have a better sense of this than me.

I'm just going on like public reports.

Everything you hear about Gilman is really sharp guy, really, really good hockey mind, and would be an asset in an organization.

They haven't asked for permission.
