You've reported, and Gary Mason suggests as well, that they're going to want to delay that decision on Adam Foote until after the draft lottery, in all likelihood, to see whether there's a real chance that they're picking Caleb Malhotra or not.
And obviously that would definitely be in play at number three.
I know there's been whispers out there that it could even be a play at number two for the Canucks.
Number one is going to be Gavin McKenna.
It sounds like that's pretty solid at this point.
Somebody else texted in superstitious peasant.
Guys, I'm worried Canucks will select Malhotra second over.
I do love that he's texting in with like an anxiety of his as well as befits a superstitious peasant.
Guys, I'm worried Canucks will select Malhotra second overall to draw Manny here.
Do you think I'm worrying for no reason?
I do in the sense that I don't think they would go out of their way to pick Caleb Malhotra as a lure to get Manny Malhotra.
I think if they pick Caleb Malhotra second, which I do think is a risk, and I think it would be a mistake at this point,
to go for him over Stenberg I think they're doing it because they love Caleb Malhotra and probably because they're being swayed by the fact they don't have centers in the system but I don't think it would be as like bait to get Manny Malhotra to be the coach I think the more to me I look at it and think
You're going to have to pick one Malhotra.
That's how I would be thinking about it.
You can either have Caleb or you can have Manny.
But I don't think it's fair to either of them to do it as a package deal and draft Caleb as second and then roll out his dad as coach the next week.
