This doesn't have to be boring.
I was surprised because I thought all along this is the guy the Red Sox are going to wind up with because it made too much sense.
I mean, how many times did Craig Breslow say we need a power hitter?
You know, home runs are a foolproof way of scoring runs.
And he was the best pure power hitter on the market aside from Schwarber.
But the fact that Alonzo was right-handed
And just thinking about the kind of damage he would do at Fenway Park, it was very enticing to think about him wearing a Red Sox uniform for the next five or six years.
So I think that Red Sox fans probably feel a little let down right now, at least until they see how they're going to counter losing him.
