And that was everyone's big concern.
I actually...
I wasn't actually overly concerned about the scrum.
The French scrum isn't amazing.
It's good.
But also, there was enough stock there that the guys who were picked had performed against the top French opposition already and done well.
But you still lose a bit around the pitch, like what Porter gives you in his carry, what Ty gives you in his ball playing and his carry.
We did miss a bit of that.
Yeah, look, and I've no doubt that the coaching team and the players are working their socks off.
But what I would say about rugby, it's a great game because you've got a decision to make.
And a lot of the time you're under serious pressure
the risk of getting absolutely smashed or you're dealing with serious lactic in your legs.
But there's always a decision to make.
Do you want to push a little bit harder or do you want to take it a little bit easier?
And the kick chase is the easiest thing to measure there.
And if you have a coach that sporadically...
in team meetings, reviews effort and kick chase and says, right, everyone look at Ian Madigan here in this clip.
Like that is worth the worst nightmare.
If you are not working hard when you're chasing back or the flip side, he goes, look at it, look at Ian Madigan here and you're leading the kick chase and you get up, you make a tackle, you get up again, you make another tackle and you feel like an absolute rock star, but you're,
you're doing tasks that, you know, anyone on the street could really do.
