Like my view has kind of changed on this and it's probably one of the luxuries of having played in multiple different clubs and seeing different cultures and how different teams do it and talking to different international players.

But I'll never forget a conversation I had with Dwayne Vermeulen and we were talking about getting the ball aerial, kick chase, how to win the scraps.

And it's an art form to the South Africans.

It is an oval ball, how it bounces.

But there's also, like anything, the more work you put into something, the more you can make the luck sway your way.

And what I mean by that is it's how organized you are.

The scrum half is box kicking, right?

Do you have guys that are just aimlessly chasing?

You obviously have one person going up with the ball and I'll get to him.

But is there a player going past the ball if the opposition slap it back?

Is there a player who's going to be right underneath where the catch is happening to get a slap back towards your team?

Do the players know who is going to be poaching the ball if they win it?
