So you have marks in the bag already.
So then you have your three sections in the written paper.
So it's a lot of, again, like the French, it's a lot of reading comprehension.
You know, so section one, which is worth 70 marks.
is reading comprehension and there's different types on that reading comprehension.
You know, you have general questions, you have synonyms, you have paraphrasing a text, you have translation and things like that.
And it's also important to state that when they open the paper, you'll see Section A has an A or a B. Now, the first A is it's based on a novel, prescribed literature question, and not many people in the country do that.
A lot of people just skip that.
It's very important not to waste time going even reading it unless you've done the novel.
And you go on to question 1B, which is the journalistic text.
And that is 70 marks.
And then section B is another reading comprehension and an opinion piece, the dreaded opinion piece.
So that's 100 marks.
So again, the reading comprehension is 50 and the opinion piece itself is 50 marks.
So again, in that section B, you have synonym questions, which the students tend to dislike.
You know, they don't like that question.
And then you have a bit of translation and another synonym question and then a bit of general comprehension, you know.
And then you move on to the dreaded opinion piece, which most students really, really dread year in, year out.
And they're always wondering what's going to come up and will they write enough?
