Catherine and her twin sister Allison grew up in Beaumont. They're part of a close-knit Presbyterian family. Crime scene investigators found that there was no sign of forced entry, which is significant because it either meant that Katherine had kept her door unlocked or had potentially recognized her killer and let him in.
