So a chip company from China will be designated a supply chain risk, and no one who works with the Department of Defense can buy any other supplies from them.

That is supposed to be pretty limited, and they are threatening, they did threaten, to make the call that no one can do any business with Anthropic if they do this.

And also, it's kind of crazy to call Anthropic a supply chain risk if they are just not doing business with Anthropic and ending the contract.

And this would destroy a lot of companies.

It would definitely destroy Anthropic if this was enforced to its maximum because both Amazon and Google do a lot of business with the Department of Defense and Anthropic gets a lot of its compute from those two using their data servers.
