Nedra Talley-Ross grew up in New York City alongside her cousins, Veronica and Estelle Bennett.
They began singing together as teenagers and released their first and only studio album in 1964.
Featuring several previously released singles, it was called Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes.
The trio's smoky vocals, signature winged eyeliner, and lush orchestral wall of sound production changed the course of pop and rock history.
After the group split in 1967, Nedra Talley-Ross pivoted to Christian contemporary music.
She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Ronettes in 2007.

That's because this isn't just any regular tour.
It's the band's comeback since they went on hiatus nearly four years ago for mandatory military service in South Korea.
Last month, BTS released the long-awaited album Arirang, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
The group's return is a major milestone for its fervent fan base, known as the Army.
Bloomberg projects that this tour could rival Taylor Swift's Heiress Tour, which is the most successful tour of all time.
