So it was just very clever.
And so, so rare.
I can't think of another example where we actually get to see the full story and the love story of our main character's parents, especially when the king, like Odessa's father, was kind of set up to be.
I was wondering if he was going to be the main antagonist after the previous book because he is a little bit suspicious.
Like he sent her on this mission to, you know, spy on her eventual husband.
So I think that that was just, again, went in ways that I did not expect.
Yeah, it's that kind of character arc thing, like we were saying, like it's just the change that they go through and then all of a sudden you have this new perspective on a character that you thought was, you know, just kind of one dimensional.
And there's this whole, like I teared up at the scene where he had to kill Caspia.
when she shifted to save Odessa.
And I was like, of course there is all this complicated emotion torn up in all of this.
Like that was just, again, I'm getting kind of chills talking about it.
It's just one of the, again, why we read fantasy.
It's so good.
They had a little something.
Do you know what?
Sorry.
No, no.
I was just going to say, which also, again, explains things from book one because why was May, the sister, such a good fighter and she had all of these kind of like physical abilities that Odessa just couldn't match.
I was like, yeah, because you weren't related.
Yeah.
