And especially I think with Forth being kind of established this like, but what if this animal was also cranky?
What if they have a personality?
So, yeah, so she does struggle at the beginning with Anassa, who is incredibly cranky and just literally won't talk to her.
Yeah, and I guess that's very early signal that, you know, our main character, as always, is going to be the chosen one.
And that's also a fun, and we're just talking about the endless tropes of this book, but as a plot device, how do you signal that this person is more special than everybody else?
And the really excellent one they've used in this book is she has special hair.
Some sort of special tattoo.
Special marks, tattoos, yeah.
Yeah.
It's always the way.
And I did laugh a little bit when it was like everyone gets these special streaks in their hair to say what tribe.
And then she's like, my whole hair changed colour.
It was that that I put down and also Dragon Rider.
I was like, yes.

topic that you brought up, Shanae, about sort of tracing that line from classic YA into adults.
And what is it that has made this transition?
It's obviously us growing up wanting more mature characters.
How do we feel about that transition in fiction and how it's changed the whole publishing world, essentially?
