But what caught my attention was the fact that I was going through cancer and all this.
And right now, after cancer, of course, I'm a much lower level than I used to be before cancer, like endurance, maybe not the bench press because that became a thing.
It's not as fun going back to a sport where you know you're at the lower level.
But then I took up a little bit of running because I still could make some progression there.
And that's how I signed up for the marathon.
I was challenged to do a charity, a fundraiser for New York Marathon.
And then I was like a bit like, I didn't care too much.
I tried to prepare well, but
The approach to training for running, you have to be so much more careful because you get so easily injured.
You can't put in the hours like you do in other sports that I'm familiar with, like kayaking or skiing.
So you have to be careful.
