um was in the press there was a little area the press area where you could just go in and get your sodas hot dogs or whatever just sit and eat and i walked in to get a hot dog i'll turn around and marty runnerman's at the soda machine
which looks like any sort of machine you go into, you know, get your eyes, get your drink, and turn around.
I was like, well, Marty Brenneman, cool.
So I went over and kind of talked to him, and I said, you know, if the Royals had a closer in 1976, this might not be the first time you had come to Kauffman Stadium.
I hadn't even thought about that.
I mean, it's possible in 76, but I mean, they would have crushed the Royals like they crushed everyone.
He just kind of went, wait a minute.
I give you the credit for going up to iconic people in the press box because that's something that very few people are able to master.
The only guy that I got shy around...
