They haven't always.
They've kind of done this limbo before of when they went out and signed Deshaun Watson.
They believed Baker Mayfield was no longer the answer.
Move on.
We're in this window of contention.
We were right there with the Chiefs.
In the COVID year, we were in the AFC divisional game.
We can win now.
They were wrong.
And it set them back quite a bit.
And now you have to adjust and go, let's get younger, let's get cheaper, and see if we can build this thing from the ground up.
There's so many poor teams in the NFL that don't want to acknowledge this because of how the fan base will perceive them.
