So I got my tray, and I turned, and I walked about three more feet, and I went, I can't.

I'm not going to bother Jack Buck.

He's just sitting there watching a game, and that's... Because he was in the midst of something.

I'm nothing, and he's Jack Buck.

And I went...

nah for 30 years i've thought i should have done it i should have just set my tray down and said mr buck you know pleasure to meet you and something we didn't have you know camera phones in 1996 but would have been cool to say that i shook you know jack buck's hand and said hello regretted that every every every day since so guys out there don't don't don't uh don't hesitate

It's tough in the moment to do, even though you overthink it and you believe that they're going to be dismissive of you.

I'm not saying that somebody couldn't be.

I mean, it's possible that somebody just doesn't want to be interacted with.

But if you go up there and say, love your work, I'll continue to listen, always been a big fan, and then leave, who's going to have the time to be like, ah, don't come up and talk to me?
