Many say that they're able to sense or see things that they weren't able to before. Ariel has a lot of experiences like that as well. And simply too many to fit in one episode. I think we're going to do some kind of follow up to this on Patreon because I had such a great time talking with Ariel. So stay tuned for that. They have a lot of extra stories.

And interestingly enough, he concludes that NDEs involving drugs are genuine experiences, not reducible to the effects of the substances involved. Their depth, coherence, and transformative impact make them indistinguishable from NDEs caused by other means. In fact, one of the people interviewed in the book injured themselves while on LSD. They stopped breathing and had an NDE.

And their description was very similar to Ariel's. They also describe a clear moment. where they are suddenly no longer high. I thought that was such an interesting detail of Ariel's story. It seems like people who have NDEs during a drug overdose report a clear separation between the effects of the drugs and then their NDE.
