Trump certainly is embracing force to advance U.S.

national security interests and likely feels pretty confident after what appears to be a successful military operation in Venezuela.

But, you know, I spoke with Michael Cox, and he's a professor of international relations at the London School of Economics, and he says Trump could be too confident.

You know, Mayor Louise Cox says none of Trump's ambitions are a given.

You know, there are many things, including domestic problems, that could undermine Trump's actions.

Iran has been gripped by demonstrations for several weeks, starting with protests over the economy, but now spreading into anger with the regime.

And they're gaining steam.

Social media posts from some areas of Iran show people chanting for the death of the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and pulling down statues of Iranian leaders and generals.

President Trump has warned that the U.S.

will hit hard if Iran kills protesters, a threat that carries more weight after the U.S.

attack on Venezuela.

Meanwhile, exiled Iranian Crown Prince Riza Pahlavi has been urging the protesters on, but it's unclear how much support he has in the country.

Secretary Rubio said step one, stabilization, involves quarantine for Venezuela's oil.

Venezuela currently can't move its oil because of sanctions.

Rubio says the plan is to sell off sanctioned oil and distribute the profits.

Rubio says the second step will be recovery, involving opening Venezuelan markets and national reconciliation.
