It really does make you as a player.
Well, like the pressures of being in a relegation battle was a huge thing, you know, which unfortunately I've sadly got a lot of experience with now.
But you're dealing with, you know, as a youth player, you know, and you're playing with guys that are playing for their careers, playing for, you know, contracts that are โ
mean mortgages and family life and everything, the pressures on them is so much higher than what you experience as a young player where you're just trying to, you know, make it in the game and you realise what guys are playing for and what clubs are fighting for and what it means to be, you know.
I went to Kilmarnock and the club's facing relegation and you don't, you know, you don't realise that when, if the club goes down that people lose jobs, you know, within that and all of a sudden you're like kind of,
that's in your hands a little bit, like on the pitch, like your on-pitch performances can decide what happens.
And yeah, it was a huge learning curve for me.
And from a footballing perspective as well, because I struggled a lot that first year, didn't play well, got shuffled around positions a lot.

And as you say, then you're dealing with other dynamics of guys that have maybe been...
mainstays in that team for years and have have experience and then they're bringing in a young player to to play that role and it's it's it's a fine margin because in the end you'll want the same thing you'll want the team to be successful but you're also everybody wants to play and there's only 11 positions and there's also relationships within that that that
Yeah, that can be complicated when you're coming in to take someone's spot.
So it can be a difficult space to navigate if you're not sensitive.
And at the end of the day, you just try and focus on doing what's best for the team.
And I think most guys can respect that even if they're not happy that someone's playing in their position, you know?
So for me, I had a complicated relationship with Football Australia in the beginning of my career.
So actually during that phase when I first went to Scotland โ
