I don't think that makes it less of a compelling book.
as I was reading it I had that the exact same thoughts that you did but I'm also thinking I've never read anything like this before like this is a very unique book and I encourage people to read it only because it is somewhat thought-provoking honestly you don't need to read the whole thing if you don't like it you don't need to do that for any book for that matter but I think there's a reason it won the Booker Prize because it is it's good for conversation it's a good book club book actually now that I'm thinking about it but interesting book to read over the holidays right now
