And then I moved to New York and started doing improv and got addicted to that.

So I had moved to New York thinking I'll do both and then just went all in on improv.

Yeah.

And then was really involved at the Upright Citizens Brigade.

And was doing that.

And then that closed for a while when the pandemic hit.

So then I started making videos because we couldn't do anything else.

And I missed performing.

Yeah.

And then when the videos kind of blew up during the pandemic and when things started to reopen, I just started getting offered more stand-up shows than I had been before.

Because I had been doing stand-up, but I was doing so much improv.

And then I would do an open mic here or there.

So I wasn't really doing...

stand up enough to kind of break from like the open mic tier into the like getting booked on shows tier and that I think the videos like just kind of helped me push through that totally and then because and at that point I was kind of like I was like oh now I'm like writing my own stuff and like because improv you do a show you're back to square one at the end

like you don't have anything you know yeah and so then I really started to fall in love with like writing stand-up doing shows like figuring out um like like figuring out like a show and a set and then it kind of just built over the last I guess like now five years that's so awesome so it's been it was it was like a the pandemic was like a huge kind of pivot and I don't know that I would have gone back to it had that not happened yeah you're you're actually so real for that too because that's kind of how I started making videos was telling stories like that was kind of the thing was talking about things that I found funny

Well, that's exactly what it was because I feel like – no, because I feel like my feeling about it when I was a kid was like something funny happened to me.

It'd be like something funny happened to me and I wish you were there to see it too.

Exactly.

So I have to tell it to you as perfectly as possible so that you laugh as hard when I tell it to you as if you had been there.
