Look, I don't think that there's a real logic to this. I don't think that there's some deep strategy. I think what there is is every day you have somebody waking up in the morning and thinking that they can command the news cycle with very bold assertions, 24 hours, 90 days, 30 days. That is about projecting strength for the minute, not delivering strength for the long term.

And I just think that's a mode of operating that President Trump brings to geopolitics the same way he brings it to regular politics. And in geopolitics, it just doesn't hunt.
