But this vertical principle is a metaphor for this connectivity to a hierarchy, to a controlling force. And so consequently, all we have now is this horizontal principle that I talk about, which is the secular world. When you don't have a vertical principle, and you don't have a hierarchy of what's moral and what's right and what's true, then where do you learn what's moral, right, and true?
Well, on a secular world, a horizontal plane, you look at people around you and you say, what are they doing? And that's how I learned what's right and wrong. And that's what Beersheba talked about when she was growing up in gang behavior and in bad neighborhoods. She looked around and here's what's right and wrong. If you look at what's going on in our world right now,

To tell the truth is not valued, John. You know, how many people have lied under oath in front of Congress and nothing has happened to them? Nothing. And so consequently, to tell the truth is not valued in our current world. In fact, in many cases, it's persecuted. Some cases it's been prosecuted. And that's really unfortunate. And that's where we've gotten so far adrift.

And Campbell is absolutely correct. And he talks so much about getting back what we call getting back to center and getting back to what these ancient myths have told us since antiquity. And they're all very common. Just like I told you, I mentioned earlier about the great philosophers, very common teachings, but they've become very unpopular, unfortunately.

Ludicrous.
Ludicrous.
Ludicrous.
I'll take this one. I'm probably more qualified than Baris, but I think we are direly in need of masculinity. Masculinity is leadership. Masculinity is courage. Masculinity has so many different qualities not to fold in the face of fear, to get back up when you fall down or get knocked down. That's true masculinity. And unfortunately, this term toxic masculinity has been misused.

Now, there is some, in my opinion, if you look at, and I could name some names and I probably won't, but if you look at certain individuals who are attempting to be masculine, they're saying you need to put a log on your shoulder and run up a mountain. Well, that's machismo. That's not masculinity.

Or you need to become an MMA fighter and mouth off and curse and say all kinds of loud things to your opponent. That's machismo. That's not masculinity. True masculinity is a man who takes care and treats his woman like a queen. Really does. And he looked people in the eye. Look people in the eye when you talk to them.
