What does all of this actually mean, though?
The first thing is that OpenAI can basically keep plowing ahead with its plans to be a full for-profit company, which is pretty important.
That's in Sam's plan.
It means that their investors, people like Microsoft, can sleep a little bit easier at night.
They've got a lot more confidence in the direction ahead.
I would predict a pretty big blockbuster IPO this year.
I think looking at all the reports, you're going to see a $1 trillion company in OpenAI.
Of course, they've got the ad model running.
They've got all sorts of things going on.
They're plugging into bank accounts in the States.
Loads going on.
That feels kind of inevitable now.
I think there's this other thing, which is effectively you've got all of this funding, this bubble that people talk about, and that feels like it's not going to get challenged now.
That is the way people are going to do things, these companies.
So very exciting to see what's going to happen with OpenAI going public this year.
