And for me now, the question is the fact that he's term limited, he can't run.
I think there's now an opportunity for someone to step up.
Now, I really genuinely hope that Congressman Byron Donalds was that person.
I actually had dinner with him for three hours last August before I made this decision.
Tried to size him up, see if he was willing to adopt some of the America First platform ideas.
that I really espoused, he wasn't.
And so I said, look, if you're not up to the challenge, I will be.
And I never thought in a million years we would surge the way that our campaign has.
When we first entered the race in November, we were polling at 2%.
We're now polling at 23.
He's at 37.
